With over 34 years of construction, disaster recovery, engineering, and reconstruction management, Mike is masterful at evaluating damaged buildings to determine causation and cost of recovery from natural disasters, and design/ construction defects. He's a consulting and testifying expert for plaintiffs and defendants, and an appraisal umpire for insurance claim resolutions. Mike's expertise as a Texas Professional Engineer has been utilized for airports, commercial buildings, manufacturing and chemical plants, single and multi-family construction, food processing plants and hotel resort properties. He ensures that all buildings meet life safety and code requirements.

Director of Loss Consulting

Extensive experience in commercial, industrial and residential construction, project management, repair scope development, cost estimating, and project coordination in the last 25+ years has given Coy a vast array of knowledge and skills to provide expert results for his clients. He has developed strategy and prepared documentation regarding a $30 million federal lawsuit as well as the necessary documents to evaluate and support damage claims of over $150 million for multiple school districts. He has exceptional investigative, analytical and diagnostic skills that are applicable in countless circumstances.

Christopher L. Hitt,

Director of Construction

Chris' construction management experience and attention to detail in all facets of specialized construction make him a valuable asset to MRI and our clients. He has extensive experience collaborating with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to prepare accurate budgets, cost estimates, and schedules. His years of experience in the field and continuing education courses keep him knowledgable about new building codes, materials, and processes. These specialties also lend to his expertise in assisting property owners and management companies in pre-loss recovery planning.

Laura Brum

Director of Operations

Having been with MRI since its inception, Laura's knowledge about the company is expansive and her expertise is essential. She manages all financials and accounting, provides administrative support to the President of the company, and helped grow MRI from four to over 30 employees. She ensures that all state and professional licenses and CE are current, and expertly secures and manages all company insurance policies, bonds, and vendor contracts. She manages systems for document control and records management and assists in document collection and preparation for mediation and arbitration cases. Laura is also a Project Manager.
